Spartan Baseball Parents,
Due to the impending early evening showers predicted for tomorrow in addition to some players taking the mock ACT, we are going to revise tomorrow’s schedule.
Field work day will now run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for all 4 grade levels and we are going to push back our Orange vs. Blue Scrimmage to Saturday February 3rd. If one parent from each family can help out that will really help us get done what we need to get done. Baseball players taking the mock ACT tomorrow are excused from work day. All potential baseball players still playing a winter sport are excused from field work day. All sub-varsity winter sport athletes planning on trying out for baseball should report to practice on Friday February 2nd at 4:00 p.m. Those potential baseball players will be given a 3 day tryout (2/2, 2/3, and 2/5). Cuts for those athletes will be posted on the evening of February 5th.
We will take a break from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the players to get a bite to eat, go home and relax a bit, etc. The varsity team will begin practice at 12:45 p.m. and practice until 2:45 p.m. The JV team should report to practice at 3:00 p.m. and will practice until 5:00 p.m. Thank you for your flexibility with your Saturday schedules. Please read below for more updated information.

Beginning next Thursday, February 1st, the Diamond Club has generously provided funding for the boys in the baseball program to have a study table from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m.in the school building. This will be available each date we have two practice sessions on the same date after school. This will usually be for our varsity team but there will be several days where the JV team practices in the later time slot. This will give the kids a safe, supervised spot on campus to get their homework done and get help with assignments from a certified North Springs HS teacher. More information to follow on this.
Final cuts will be made this evening with the posting of the varsity and JV rosters on the baseball website by 10 p.m. tonight. Beginning next week the coaching staff will have brief meetings with the members of both teams explaining their role on the team going into the season, etc.
