Spartans News · Baseball Tryouts Begin January 14th

The North Springs High School baseball program will begin tryouts for 9th – 12th grade students on January 14th, 2019 at the North Springs High School baseball field.

All 9th graders and those new to the NSHS baseball program should be ready for warm ups at 4:00 p.m. on January 14th.  This group will try out from 4:00 – 6:15 p.m.

All returning NSHS baseball players will tryout from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. on January 14th.  This group should be ready for warm ups at 6:15 p.m.

Anyone planning on trying out must be cleared in the Arbiter Athlete system by Friday January 11th at 4:00 p.m.  Prospective players whose Arbiter accounts are not cleared by the deadline will not be allowed to try out on the 14th.

Prospective players should wear baseball pants (or sweat pants), baseball spikes (soccer or football spikes are OK), and have a pair of sneakers or non-cleated athletic shoes (to hit in the hitting facility).  Prospective players should pay attention to the weather forecast on each try out day and dress appropriately.  In addition, a baseball hat should be worn and players will be responsible for bringing their own glove, bat, and catcher’s gear.  Please email Matt Gershon, head baseball coach, with any questions at gershonmj@fultonschools.org
