Spartans News · GHSA Eligibility and Virtual Learning Options

July 17th is the deadline to decide on whether to opt for Virtual Learning or Classroom learning in the Fall. FCS is working closely with guidelines from the CDC to ensure that safety is a top priority for our students and staff.
The decision does have implications when it comes to the ability to participate in extra-curricular activities for the upcoming school year.

In order to be eligible for extra-curricular activities a student must be in a school classroom setting for at least 50% of their classes.

If a student decided to do all virtual learning or less than 50% classroom learning in the Fall, they will be ineligible for Fall Extra-Curriculars.

If a student decides to do virtual learning in the Fall, but resume 100% Classroom learning in the Spring. Then that student can be eligible for Springs Sports only upon completion of a Form A. This student would not be allowed to do any after school workouts (4 on 1, lifting, conditioning) during the Fall.

Any updates to this will be shared by FCS and
