The Spartans have established the best record in the history of the North Spring’s program (11-6) defeating the Tigers of Darlington tonight by five goals.
Senior Jake Rubin led off the night with a hat-trick in the first period, going on to have a total points of four goals and three assists for the game. Senior Carlton Colley added eight total points on the night with five goals and three assists. Freshman JD Kilbourn also had a hat-trick on the night plus a couple of assists and one final goal came from Sophomore Pete Klafter. Both Senior Charley Plumly and Junior Charlie Turner each offered an assist.
The team dominated the ground ball match up claiming 39 to Darlington’s 22, led by our strong defense. Plumly went 14-20 on the night on faceoffs, with young Freshman JD Roseberry coming in to go two for five. Jack Makowski served up another three saves to bring his season total to a whopping 163 saves!
We are grateful for the leadership of our five seniors, Colley, Rubin, Plumly, Jones and Jackson for being great role models and for setting some impressive records along the way!
We wrap up with our banquet on Sunday night – thanks for a great season and GO SPARTANS!!
