Taking on a very good Osborne team the Spartans played them toe to toe in the 1st half. The game see sawed back and forth with each team challenging each other for scoring opportunities. The Cardinals put in the 1st goal at 33:32 to take an early lead.
The Spartans did not back down. With 14:40 left in the first half, Anthony Resendiz set up Simon Ben-Moshe with the game tying goal and North Springs was back in the game.
Just when it looked like the half was going to end 1-1the Cardinals got through the Spartan defense to put the go ahead goal in with just 1:14 left in the half.
The 2nd half saw Osborne come out firing as they scored in the first 5 minute of the half at 38:07 to build their lead to 3-1. Osborne’s speed and finest passing and ball control took over and within 14 minute they hit the back of the net once again to go up 4-1.
At that point both teams started subbing in support players to gain valuable playing time for future more important games. The Spartan players continued to fight and claw to gain opportunies to score. They got that chance when North Springs was given a corner kick and Sylvester Balbuena’s made a perfect kick which went right into the top far corner with :48 to play to make the final score 4-2
Jerry Nazario, who came in at Keeper with 23:17 left in the 2nd half played a solid game with 7 saves and no goals
