Day 1 of the Fulton County Championships was a great day for the Boys Track and Field Program with new PR’s being set for many of the boys. Junior thrower, Senam Quartey, posted a new person best in the shot put with a throw of 37’11” just missing the top 9 for finals. Senior Long Jumper, Christohpe Donsereaux, also missed the finals placing 11th overall. Senior discus thrower, Dann’Tae Palmer also had a close competition as he placed 10th in the discus. Zahir Nichols also placed 9th in the 200 meter run missing 8th by a hundredth of a second. The 4×400 meter relay team also just missed qualifying by 2 second.
Zahir Nichols, Christophe Donsereaux, Jordan Eaddy, and Chase Heard all qualified in the 4×100 meter relay running the 5th fastest time Saturday and posting a new season best. Donsereaux also qualified in the 200 meter running a new personal best of 22.6. Eaddy qualified in the 100 meter run with a new person best of 11.14.
Day 1 showed a lot of excitement and energy as the Boys Track and Field program move towards Day 2 to close out Fulton County Championships.
